The musical repertoire
Since its foundation our organization has carried out intense research on the traditional music of our land ( the Valpantena and Lessinia in particular) but also of other European regions linked culturally to the Cimbric history). Therefore in our concerts we play not only local traditional music but also the typical music of the territories where the Cimbri migrated. This cultural route aims at informing people about this population's history which is very often not known or badly interpreted and which, we think, could serve us as a good example.
Our musical repertoire ranges from medieval to traditional music and lately we have rediscovered much of the music which used to be played first at Kaiser Franz Joseph's villa near Novaglie and then at the court of the earl Arrigo Balladoro.
Folk music and traditional dances have always had the function to keep people merrily together, favouring new acquaintances and tightening the relationships within the community; moreover they've served to keep the cultural peculiarity alive within the ethnic minorities. Therefore we think they represent an important heredity which must be preserved.
